Commercial Manager

What you’ll do

With an engaging and hands on approach, you will be responsible for fully immersing yourself within all aspects of our Commercial function. Not only will you be responsible for leading our Commercial function, you will be responsible for developing client relationships across all areas of the business. Through your inquisitive and analytical nature, you will look to continuously improve processes and drive sales activity through commercially led tenders and pricing.

Day-to-day aspects of the role also include:

  • Client facing responsibility, communicating with the client at a strategic level
  • Tender management and coordinate preparation meetings
  • Manage clear thresholds for quote checking
  • Margin management and analysis
  • Analysing estimates vs actuals and instigate change
  • Responsible for reviewing and investigating work not won to ensure improvement on conversion rates
  • Managing daily workload of team
  • Review CRM pricing in tandem with Finance Director
  • Updating the Client Services team on capacity, trends and insights

What we’ll need

We need an individual who has experience and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Experience of leading a commercial team within the Print sector
  • Knowledge of Tharsterns or similar management information system
  • Strong client facing experience
  • Experience of tender pricing
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly competent in MS Office
  • Commercial awareness of the industry
